First use

Open the blue box on your left. Take bag no. 1, open the bag with scissors. Inside you will find a Lingual Eq. Eptamed. Close the teeth and gently insert the Lingual Eq. Eptamed lingual between the lips. The end result should be as in the picture.

The lingual device should be worn 1 hour 30 min a day for 30 days in a passive manner, using it when watching TV or doing playful activities or general work.

This device will teach you how to bring your tongue to its correct position, the so called palatine spot. To find out where the palatine spot is, perform this quick exercise: take the tip of your tongue as far down your throat as possible, slide it along the palate and stop shortly after touching the rough part on the palate. The right spot is shown in the picture below.

To get used to bringing your tongue to this position, we suggest a simple swallowing exercise for the first 15 days: With the device inserted between your lips and breathing through the nose, bring the tongue to the palatine spot and swallow. Repeat this exercise 30 times a day.
After 30 days, open your therapy kit, in the second blue box on the right you will find bag no. 2, open the bag with scissors. Inside you will find an Eptamed dental Eq.
To make inserting the dental device into your mouth more comfortable, we recommend wetting it under water before putting it on. Now wet it and put the device on by inserting it between the dental arches as shown in the picture.
Now you are ready to perform the functional exercise: with the device between the jaws, lightly squeeze the Eq. Eptamed between your teeth for 3 seconds, release it and repeat this exercise 30 times. Caution!! The device should be bitten lightly, as excessive force may cause it to break!!!

After 10 days you will be ready to wear the Dental Eq. Eptamed even during the night. Don’t forget to wear it at least 1 hour a day doing the recommended functional exercise.

Tooth soreness upon waking is normal and positive as the teeth are moving to a new balance. It will pass after about 20 minutes.
We suggest cleaning the devices with EptaClean detergent or equivalent before and after each use.
If no detergent is available, we recommend rinsing thoroughly under running water by brushing for at least 10 seconds.

It is also recommended to replace the Eq. Eptamed when structural changes or tears occur leading to a malfunction. In any case, the Eq. Eptamed should be replaced within 12 months after first use at the latest.

WARNING: In the event of allergic manifestations or swelling of the gums, discontinue use immediately. Should the symptoms persist, contact your specialist.
